If you want to do a fresh Windows installation and you want to create a bootable USB drive, WinUSB has your back. This application’s wizard-like interface will help you easily create a bootable USB drive for Windows 7, Windows 8 or 8.1, as well as Windows 10. If there’s more than enough space on the USB drive, you won’t even have to format it. And if there’s enough space to fit multiple Windows editions, you can do that too. The best thing about WinUSB isn’t the fact that it can create bootable Windows USB drives, it’s that it can create multi-Windows bootable USB drives.

WinUSB doesn’t need to be installed. To get started with this application you need to download an executable and run it. Since that’s all you need to do, you could very well put WinUSB on a portable storage device, take it with you, and use it anytime, anywhere.

WinUSB has a wizard-like interface that guides you through all the steps you need to take: select the USB drive that will be turned into a bootable Windows USB, select the Windows edition(s) that will be placed on the USB drive (you’ll need the ISO or DVD), choose if you want to format the USB drive first (not necessary if there is enough space on the drive), and then let WinUSB do its thing.

Tip: use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool if you want to download a Windows 10 ISO.

WinUSB is free software.

Thanks to WinUSB, you don’t have to format your USB stick to turn it into a bootable Windows USB drive. You can even add multiple Windows editions to the bootable USB drive if you want to.

Pros

WinUSB doesn’t need to be installed (and that makes it portable). WinUSB has a wizard-like interface that guides you through all the steps you need to take to create a bootable USB drive. If there’s enough free space on the USB drive, you don’t need to format it. You can create a bootable USB drive for a single Windows edition or for multiple Windows editions. WinUSB is free software. Instructions on how to use WinUSB are available on its official website.

Cons

None that I could think of.
